"Music can touch the soul in ways that words cannot" Hi,I lived in Stratford CT before moving to Derby CT in the Naugatuck Valley.Started playing the trumpet and getting involved with music in the 5th grade when one of my uncles gave me his trumpet my first trumpet teacher was Harold Brown.I started playing in bands when I was 12 yrs. old and continued throughout Junior High School(Stratford,CT)I participated in the Marching Band and Concert Band playing the trumpet and cornet.Also participated in the Bridgeport CT PAL Marching & Concert Bands as well as the Jazz Ensemble.In High School (Stratford,CT)participating in the Marching Band,Concert Band and Jazz Ensemble.In High School was selected a member of the Southwestern CT Concert Band and Orchestra and auditioned for the McDonald's All- American Band.Was awarded in my senior year the Emma Cowles Music Award.Attended the University of Bridgeport(Bridgeport,CT) (B.S.& M.S.in Music Education)participating in the Marching Band,Concert Band,Brass Ensemble,Jazz Workshop and Civic Orchestra.With the U.B. Jazz Workshop in my freshman year played a concert with Jazz artist Clark Terry and toured with the U.B. Jazz Ensemble throughout CT and MA.With the Civic Orchestra performed various guest composers works in concert.Also played trumpet in the Stratford CT Community Band.Charter Member Phi Mu Alpha Music Fraternity University of Bridgeport.Taught Junior High School Instrumental Music in Fairfield and Instrumental Music with Growing With Music in Branford,New Haven,Waterbury CT.Enjoy Jazz & Classical Music but also the Modern music of today I spend my time listening to Jazz and Classical some composition/arranging and going to concerts in New York and CT and have been to the Montreal Jazz Festival.Besides my music I am also employed in another field of work.
