21 year old Natalie Brettell is a talented singer/songwriter from Scotland. Natalie has been singing from a young age but began taking her singing more seriously in her early teens. At the age of 18 Natalie worked full time and recorded her first two songs in her home town of East Kilbride. People began noticing Natalie's catchy, yet emotional lyrics and melodies. Hungry for more, she sent her demo to Lemonsoda Music, London who invited her to audition. Caroline and David Stevens of Lemonsoda Music Productions decided to help Natalie with her singing career. Natalie then decided to head for London at 19 to help breakthrough to the music industry. 'Missing In My Heart' Natalie's first song has had almost 13,000 plays on My Space and 'Heartbreaker an up-tempo pop song! Her songs are played on The Wiral 87.7fm in Liverpool with good feedback from the public. In September 2006 Natalie performed at the first Marbella Film Festival. During her trip her songs were played on European radio frequently. While in Marbella, Natalie was on live radio singing and being interviewed on two occasions. Great support from Marbella audiences, which was much appreciated. Natalie's first major step was moving to London at the age of 19. She went to every audition possible and also worked long hours in a cafe, just to pay the rent. Natalie struggled but always stayed positive and never gave up no matter how hard and lonely life for away from home. Whilst in London Natalie performed in Essex night club 195 and an acoustic gig in Notting Hill. After 10 months in London Natalie decided it was time to go home to Scotland to save money and learn guitar, which would add to her singing. Since then Natalie has recorded two more songs with Lemonsoda, 'In Your Hands', and 'Walk Away'. Written and strummed by herself she plays acoustic in 'In Your Hands'. Both tracks have had a great number of plays on My Space. Since then Natalie has had gigs in Elgin, Scotland at the Red Shoes Theatre. She has performed at the venue regularly. She is now working full time whilst writing, teaching herself guitar & doing more vocal work. With the dedication and determination that Natalie clearly shows, she is sure to go far. Failure, is not an option.
