My name is Geoff Martyn. I started playing keyboards for various bands way back when, then started to write my own material, finding a voice somewhere along the way. You might have arrived at this page as a result of hearing my music on the ABC Network show 'Men In Trees'. The two songs appearing on the show so far are Something Good (aka One of these Days) and Moonshine (aka Never Die). You may also have heard my music on the ABC show, Eli Stone and also on Unhitched and One Tree Hill.
Humit.com - music used in shows
A singer-songwriter first and foremost, I also produce, engineer and play piano/hammond and keyboards for a number of other artists; having recently played piano and Hammond on Roddy Hart's debut album, 'Bookmarks', out now!!
I have also added keyboards to the Endrick Brothers follow up to last year's fantastic 'Built To Last'.
If you are interested in buying an EP, you can email me directy, or go straight to iTunes , where you should be able to buy the Jupiter and Teardrop EP, Bring Me Down.
To date, I have appeared on two compilations CDs by the wonderful Babyboom Records .
Lately, I've been writing with Chris Difford (Squeeze), Mr Adam Levy (International Groover) getting some music on the telly in America, writing a song with the marvellous Boo Hewerdine, writing and recording with the incredible Athena Andreadis (clickity click on the top friends list for all of these good people) and generally enjoying myself musically.
Studio for hire
I currently have a nice wee project studio (see profile above / photos page) and I'm looking to work with Singer-Songwriters and bands from anywhere and everywhere. If you have a project you'd like to start work on, please drop me a line and let me know what you have in mind. Rates differ from project to project, but overall I just want to work with people who love music and want to create something really special.
