Myspace Trackerthis page is dedicated to some of the musical projects i'm involved in. the TP 4tet have been playing together now for over a year, almost 2 years. next january we're gonna record my debut album. i, tutu, was born and raised in pretoria, south africa, in the dusty township streets of mamelodi ,which literaly means melodious mother. and my full name, nonTUThUzelo means one who comforts. so, i like to believe that i was born to a melodious mother, to comfort people with my singing. ewout, our piano player was born in halle, belgium. guus on bass hails from rotterdam, the netherlands and so does jasper on drums, from breda. mmmmmm what else could be of interest,,,,, i don't know. we love music, we love good food and everytime we hang after a gig, i never want it to end!!. there is the SONGBIRDS project, which is a celebration of some of my favourite female vocalists ranging from Ella Fitzgerald, Joni Mitchell and Miriam Makeba; then there's the GODDAM project, a tribute to Dr. Nina Simone and then there's the FBBB - The Frits Bayens Big Band from Breda, Holland. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// ////////////////////////////////////////////////////1: he needs me-this is my 4tet live at a gig, januaryof 2006. 2: that's all- is from my debut album Song.3: never said- is with the fbbb and 4: for the time being- is also from my debut cd, composed by the great bert joris. check out his incredible solo on this piece. this man's a monster i tell ya! my friend geert is on guitar (myspace.com/stantongeerthellings).
