The Silver Surfer

Don't even trip!

About Me

I was born Norrin Radd on the idyllic planet Zenn-La, home to an ancient and advanced civilization that had lost the will to strive or explore, which left me restless and yearning for something more than the idle pleasure pursued by my fellows. Lebanese food is pretty tasty. I fiend for chocolate constantly. Dark chocolate, in case you want to send me some. I've been known to sleep walk from time to time. My boards never ding AND don't require any wax. People dig the silver sheen. Some say I'm pretty - I say it's just good genes. Reproduction is nothing more than a genetic crapshoot. I speak many languages, enjoy watching sunrises, sunsets, shooting stars and generally just having good times. What's more? Oh yeah...my history (sorry I tend to go off on tangents sometimes). Anyhow, eh-hem, faced with the total destruction of my world by the planet-consuming Galactus, I struck a deal with the omnipotent space god to serve as his herald in return for the safety of Zenn-La and of my lover, Shalla-Bal, at the same time satisfying my desire to discover new worlds and adventures beyond the limits of my home. Galactus accepted my sacrifice and imbued me with a portion of the Power Cosmic, transforming meinto the Silver Surfer, which is probably how most of you know me. I served Galactus for an unspecified amount of time, unable to return to Zenn-La or Shalla-Bal, until I came to the planet Earth. On Earth, I, the Silver Surfer, encountered a number of individuals whose nobility and honor touched me, such as the Fantastic Four and their companion Alicia Masters. I chose to rebel against Galactus and attempted to prevent my master from consuming the Earth. Galactus was eventually driven off, but as punishment for his rebellion, Galactus confined me to Earth by creating an invisible barrier which affected only me.....

You scored as Buddhism. Your beliefs most closely resemble those of Buddhism. Do more research on Buddhism and possibly consider becoming Buddhist, if you are not already. In Buddhism, there are Four Noble Truths: (1) Life is suffering. (2) All suffering is caused by ignorance of the nature of reality and the craving, attachment, and grasping that result from such ignorance. (3) Suffering can be ended by overcoming ignorance and attachment. (4) The path to the suppression of suffering is the Noble Eightfold Path, which consists of right views, right intention, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right-mindedness, and right contemplation. These eight are usually divided into three categories that base the Buddhist faith: morality, wisdom, and samadhi, or concentration. In Buddhism, there is no hierarchy, nor caste system; the Buddha taught that one's spiritual worth is not based on birth.

My Interests

Well, let's see. I look pretty !@#$%^ awesome in this silver suit. Gold sucks. I like surfing. I like to go fast. REALLY fast - like exceeding the speed of light but not TOO fast like past Mach 10. I like to test my threshold for pain, seeing how much I can withstand great extremes of temperature. I also like soaring through supernova explosions with great ease. Like the background pick? I just got a new space-proof disposable camera and it's rad. Sometimes, I have to fight creeps and stuff. This universe is pretty big and there are many space-born enemies who get slippy every now and again. Thus, I battle when required. Otherwise, I cruz, wander and rest when I can, like Kane from "Kung Fu". I age well and my physique will intimidate you.

I'd like to meet:

You, Jim Anchower, Los Dos Pedros, Cal Naughton, Jr., Dick (of Dick's Liquor Box infamy), the dude who invented the FLOWBEE, Zsa Zsa Gabor, Mozart, Barbara Eden, Yaweh, that creep who sucker punched me on New Year's Eve in 2001 (you know who you are and the guns are gonna getcha!), Kobi the hot dog masher, a nice glass of absinthe, ..

Music:

I recently discovered The Morning After Girls' music. Unreal - I hope that they travel to this part of the Earth real soon! As for other music, pretty much everything - except for newer kuntry.

Movies:

Big Wednesday, Point Break, In God's Hands, Endless Summer, Step into Liquid, Mercury Rising, Space Odyssey, Star Wars. City of God (you should see the dude's place - trust me when I tell you it's GOOD to be a believer).

Television:

I had my own cartoon series on FOX in 1998. Additionally, I've appeared in a 1967 Fantastic Four animated Series called "Galactus" and made later appearances in 1994 Fantastic Four animated series that was part of Marvel Action Hour. I was also featured on the cover of the Joe Satriani album "Surfing with the Alien". I don't spend much time watching t.v. anymore but I am a HUGE fan of What's Happening?, Good times, the Three Stooges, Seinfeld reruns, Warner Brothers cartoons (the originals)...

Books:

Reading is what you earthlings do to enable yourselves to better classify and categorize the minutiae of your every day existences to give meaning to your so-called lives.

Heroes:

The handsome looking silver dude I see in the mirror everyday. Actually, I am a mirror pretty much. So I see me in myself. That's sort of existential, right? Oh, it's so confusing. Also,
