Felix Hopkins has been a busy producer-engineer for many years, having run London's Fluidity Studios since 1993. He's been involved in the making of numerous album, single & remix projects, ranging from Soul to Jazz, House to Broken Beat and R&B to Hip Hop...
Felix is also a member of the respected 'restless soul' production collective alongside Phil Asher, Luke McCarty, Dominic Jacobson, Aaron Ross, Mike Patto and John Molloy.
As an engineer, Felix has been fortunate enough to work with a broad cross-section of very talented people including, Phil Asher, Nathan Haines, Harvey Lindo, Kyoto Jazz Massive, Hajime Yoshizawa, Kenny Dope, Jon Cutler, Aaron Ross, Ashley Beedle, Diesel, Terry Farley, Dego, Alex Attias, Big Bang, and many more. He's also worked with vocalists Jocelyn Brown, Kym Mazelle, Marlena Shaw, Taka Boom, Harriet Roberts,Vanessa Freeman, Shelley Nelson, Maiya James, Valerie Ettiene, Terri Walker, Rasiyah, Rich Medina, Lyric L, Face, Izzi Dunn, Marcus Begg, Verna Francis, Andrea Mendez and Guida da Palma.
As a producer, Felix is probably best known for his 'Atlantic Fusion' & 'Black Box Technology' productions, both of which have developed a loyal following over the years. He also collaborates with Mike Patto (as 'Monkey Brothers') and with Diesel (as 'dflex").
In 2005, Felix produced and co-wrote Verna Francis' debut album 'Down to Earth' (Chillifunk) with trumpeter and multi-instrumentalist Scott Baylis.
Projects in development include a nu-soul album (as yet untitled). Felix is currently on the look out for an outstanding singer with poetry skillz to front the project....
