About Me

Current Releases:
People:Back in 2004, fellow Newportonians Neil Pollock and brothers Huw and David Price decided to start a recording project. After laying down some initial tracks, it made sense to expand into live work. Since then, we've been lucky enough to work with some of the UK's finest, including Maiya James, Thierry Paul, Rob Cornish, Alex Mead, Paul Whittington, Robbie Craig and Mark Armstrong.
Music:Spengler's particular brand of broken soul is all about getting musicians into studios and letting them play. We believe that live playing and real songwriting is where it's at.
Gigs:Spengler have been playing out at London venues such as Momos, The Electric Ballroom, Sound, Gossips, Dingwalls, Club Rouge, The Borderline, WKD, The Bug Bar, The Arts Cafe, The Spice of Life, Neighbourhood and The Infinity Club, as well as working alongside promotions companies such as imagenes.co.uk . Recently, the band has been busy playing the Hot, Sweaty and Funky concert series in The Salmon and Compasses, promoting their own "Eat My Funk" party in Brixton's Mass, playing dates at the summer jazz festival in Battersea Park, and holding a residency at legendary Soho venue China White.
