However, I show respect and admiration to the following greats: Malcolm X, Betty Shabazz, Tupac Shakur, Muhammad Ali, Paul Robeson, Alicia Keys, Sister Souljah, Lucille Ball & Desi Arnaz, Allen Iverson, Mariah Carey, Billie Holiday, Harriet Tubman, Master P, India Arie, Shirley Chisolm, Fran Drescher (She had one of the flyest wardrobes on tv ever- yall know how much I love clothes...lol), NYC (how could I not be inspired by a city that never sleeps), Patti LaBelle, Martin Lawrence, Cynthia McKinney, Nelson Mandela, Wu Tang, Donny Hathaway, Albert Einstein, Iyanla Vanzant, Oprah Winfrey, Gil Noble, Charlie Rose, Damon Dash, Jennifer Hudson, Nat King Cole, Michael Jordan, Florence Griffin Joyner, Doug E. Fresh (The best show in town- hands down!), Ray Charles, Mary J. Blige- to name a few. Anyone who stands up for what's right, people who live by a high standard of fairness and morality, everybody who shows me love (I love that- even though my face is on freeze sometimes- it makes me smile inside, for sure!), truth seekers, anyone who is on a journey of personal growth...and of course my family- by blood & by choice.
