DO WHAT THOU WILT

About Me

We are three musicians from four countries (England, Germany, Iceland & Scotland) with very differant musical backgrounds who met through a strange twist of fate to play what we simply call Renaissance Musicke. We use authentic instruments and techniques of the 16th century, because they work so damn well for this music, so if it works – why mess with it?

Well to be honest in one respect we do “mess with it” quite a bit, just as the musicians did back then. Improvisation is an important part of our performances and it makes every concert an adventure, for both us and the audience.

Come Live with me (Live at THE NAVE 2008)
..Recent Pantagruel performances included concerts at the Greenwich Early Music Festival, National Portrait Gallery in London, Utrecht Early Music Festival, Aachen Bach festival, Münster Baroque festival, International Lute festivals in Germany & Belgium plus a collaboration with Andrew Lawrence-King ( Harp Consort, Hespèrion XX ).
