This myspace was set up to promote Autism Awareness through the collective talents of the most important (and listened to) people in our culture... the artists.Whether your medium is art, music, writing, poetry, journalism... whatever, you have the unique ability of being heard through the noise. If you are interested in promoting Autism Awareness, we need you!Autism affects 1 in 166 people nowadays... a staggering number considering only five years ago the statistic was 1 in 1000. Governments are pulling away from taking responsibility for it's citizens, parents are confused and frazzled... it really does take a community (or an army in some cases) to raise these kids.So get out there, promote the word. Organize art shows and concerts and benefits. The world of the artist is so close to the world of the autist. Alienation and social anxiea.We may not be able to find a 'cure' but we certainly can make life a little more bearable for those who are affected.
