2004 Sky Candy Series, acrylic painting, I did a series of painting called Sky Candy and Sky Round. when I started to do painting, I usually work on 2-3 canvas at a time, I rotated them and worked on top of the front of my car because I don't have a workstation. I painted these on flat surface cuz it's easier for me to work. I would do one and then while waiting for it to dry I work on another one. I didn't use paint brush for this series. these are called Sky Candy series because it looks so delicious just like candy, to see more of this series, just go to my website
have a passion for art, music and fashion. I was born in Taipei, Taiwan in 1976. My Chinese name is Hsinying Chou, H is pronounced silent and my first name is pronounced "singing". started to draw when I can first hold a pencil. I like to eat sashimi, ice cream, watermelon seeds, I like drinking coke w/ a lot of ice, light ice tea, starbucks/coffee bean non coffee drinks, Chinese slushes and snow bubble w/ boba; I liked everything with blueberry, grape, mango and orange taste. I loved going to the mall either window shopping or buy stuff on sale. I loved just driving around not having a destination. I love colorful, modern, cute and cool stuff and clothing. I love to paint colorful abstract paintings and to create funky cool accessory and jewelry. I am also interested in classic and funky music, fashion, poetry and cool cars. Since I was a child, I have been collecting postage stamps and now I collect stuff animals, cuttie little accessory and hand bags. I'm a fan of McDoNalds, Hello Kitty, Doraemon, Snoopy, San-X, TV show:"Angel", "Will and Grace", Japanese comic:"Hunter X Hunter", LV bag, Coach bag, Juicy Couture bag.

college project, 1996, acrylic and charcoal on paper, it's a series of 4, I named it heaven and hell series, starting from hell to heaven. I used black background for hell, and white background for heaven. sadly, I am missing the final piece. this one is heaven and hell series 1

this one has multi layer, I enjoy to leave some space white on canvas, it gives it more nature look
this one has a lot of meaning to me, it's the last piece I did at my house which I miss so much before I moved out, it also has multi layer, the brush stroke is one of my strongest piece. the 1st layer was a relaxing one, I did the 2nd layer during the time the house is being show case to public buyers and while I was packing. the 3rd and the last layer is being done right before I moved out. the stroke just got more violence and angry because I didn't want to move but my family insist to sell the house. I dedicate this piece in memory of my dear wonderful house.
I went to Europe travel in October 2006, 11 countries and 21 cities. walked and took picture everywhere. I had over 8000 picture and I print out 300 digital prints. here's some highlights

Italy Rome
Italy Venice, the Gondola ride is great, but it's a little bit dizzy riding on a boat, it feels great with the opera singer sitting right infront of me. very cool experience

Italy Pisa, I ran all the way to the ticket booth to get the earliest ticket to get on the Pisa tower, and after that I had to climb all the way up to the top of the tower, there's not rest stop in the middle, I was out of breath but it's a cool exerperience.

I transform my room into a kiddie museum, I collect all the cutie kiddies and little acces. n put it on display, I hope to have a bigger room one day and collect more kiddies.

my room is painted pastel lime green and I painted some wave kindda line on this wall.
my bed, I love to change different comforter cover, it's all from Ikea, some are from children's apt. the room has a really long rectangle shape and it brings me lots of sunshine in the morning, underneath the window, I brought some colorful wall hanger from Chinese herb store and I put the small handbag and kiddies on it.
this small wood shelf is customer made, before in my old house, I put phones and computer speaker, now in this room, I put little cuttie and candy on it.
90% of the furniture in my room are from IKEA, I open my closet because the door isn't like the regular sliding door, and it's easier to access.

I love collecting ancient Chinese jewel like bracelet, necklace and rings. it's the color mix with mystery and sometimes I feel I'm the kind of person that still wants to live in the ancient times.
