About Me

I'm a civil servant in Portugal, some of the time(helps pay the rent), a published poet (in the UK), where I lived for 3 years(in Edinburgh), and a playwright with a couple of plays workshoped in Edinburgh, at the Traverse Theatre and in New York (where I also lived in 1996/97 and worked at Naked Angels). I've translated plays by Sam Shepard("Action" and "Cowboy Mouth"), Brad Fraser("Unidentified Human Remains and the True Nature of Love"), John Steppling("Standard of the Breed), Stephen Belber("Tape") and Boris Vian("The Empire Builders") into Portuguese. I'm also a fanatical traveler and a big Country Music fan. At the moment I'm tackling the translation of Wallace Shawn's monologue "The Fever".
