About Me

It's become my mission in life to help promote the most beautiful music available to mankind. This includes electronica, minimal & deep house, dubstep, breakbeat jazz & folk Plus anything else i may have left out that i love!So far, I have only put on one night in conjunction with Tom Allerton at The Hideaway in Tufnell Park. MINT & Digitonal played live, with Nick Luscombe DJing. But I aim to put on more in future.I also hope that 2008 will be my year for sorting out learning to DJ.Since December '07, I have been helping Nick Luscombe, who shares the same music brain as me(!) promote his monthly event, Flomotion Live at The Big Chill House in Pentonville Road, Kings Cross, London. The night features some of the best up and coming jazz, house, electronica and acoustic live music acts, plus great DJ sets, from residents Nick & Grant Little and sometimes guest DJs. The monthly Flomotion is free and our aim is pure and simple - to get as many people along to our nights as possible, to give the live acts & DJs the exposure they deserve and to give the crowd a first rate and very original experience which they won't forget in a hurry and it will hopefully leave them wanting to come back for more. We want people to realise that there's so much good music out there to be heard and discovered, that there's way more to life than a radio 1 playlist! So please come along to one of our nights and join the mailing list www.myspace.com/flomotionlive or email me for more details.I want to gain experience in music promotion, so if anyone can give me some work experience that would be great, or better still... a full-time job!!Death to the mainstream tedious, uninspriring, unorginal, repetitive drivel that dominates the airwaves! There's way better plentiful talent out there waiting to be discovered which isn't reaching the masses. How can people actually enjoy listening to the same mindless crap churned out hour after hour on most radio stations? Surely if they do, they must be kinda brainwashed. I fully support independent radio stations doin their own thang and allowing the djs to actually play the tunes they love.I was also born to decorate the world with my celestial jewellery & tiaras reflecting the nature that surrounds me. Check out my website www.celestial jewels.com . I'm easily blown away by dramatic & beautiful landscapes, I love mountains, sea, white sandy beaches, deserts & rainbows, & i'm fascinated by bizarre sky markings & cloud formations, plus i'm a sucker for a good marmalade sunset/sunrise. I'm still looking for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow but I know its there somewhere. I'm giving, loving, caring for the environment, i like silliness, big smiles, dressing up & riotous colour. Can not miss out on anything!! I love festivals, carnivals, gigs, parties, anything buzzy..loves totally random surreal events. Like wandering contentedly through meadows green & enchanted mossy woodland & basking in golden shafts of sunlight & warm places. I believe in fate & the stars, chuckle over synchronicity & as the years pass, I'm learning more & more to live & be fully in the moment & to understand that everything happens for a reason.

My Interests

First & foremost - music!! Is totally, nuttily, crazily mad about music. Likes all sorts (see music section) but especially electronica & folk. Plus jewellery design, loves accessories, fashion, colourful buzzing markets/souks, sunny summer holidays, travelling to exotic magical lands, so far: India, Andaman Islands, Morocco, Madagascar, Thailand. Also loves the English countryside. Particularly fond of Cornwall (Polperro is no.1!), Devon, Somerset. Likes visiting ancient sites - stone circles, castles. Loves the outdoors, walking for hours/jogging through fields n woodland, practices iyengar yoga, sahaja yoga meditation. Reluctantly goes to the gym. Loves creative writing, speaking French, pigeon Spanish and Hindi, loves all forms of communication, though believes in watching only a small portion of tv - has very selective tv viewing tastes, otherwise brain rots. Loves wandering around exhibitions in art galleries and museums. Particularly photography ones, or anthropological, or jewellery/fashion/travel related. Has never really got over ..food'! Is vegetarian & tries to be vegan.
