I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I write comics with my husband. if we are very lucky they end up as good as this:

The hardcover collection of 'Raise the Dead' includes lots of sketchbook material by Hugo Petrus, a full script for issue one, a fantastic foreword by Max "World War Z" Brooks, and a complete covers gallery. If you like the sound of that, you can buy them from ForbiddenPlanet.co.uk! (click the cover above, or the banner below)

My Interests

I like old films, crafts like knitting and sewing, drawing, listening to the radio, and playing PC games till my eyes roll out onto the keyboard in steaming puddles.I draw pet portraits, and i now have an Etsy Store www.impshlady.etsy.com

Etsy: Your place to buy & sell all things handmade

I'd like to meet:

Anyone interesting and/or funny.People fitting those criteria are more than welcome to go to www.moorereppion.com and join our forum, send us an email or subscribe to our blog.If you would like to contact us about attending conventions or doing a signing in a shop, please do so, we like to get about a bit, it stops us becoming complete shut-ins.

Music:

I am totally fixated on seventies Motown, Northern Soul, Lounge music, and psychedelic rock. I also spent the 90's in a mosh pit. I'm sad to say i haven't heard anything new that made me raise both eyebrows in excitement recently apart from The Gossip. They rock.

Movies:

I am working my way through all of Hitchcock's films because i think he knows his way round a story better than i do and i might learn something. I love old films where men have shiny hair, and women have lots of accessories. I watch scary films despite being genuinely frightened by them quite a bit. I dream of zombie invasions about once a month. I blame my husband for this.

Television:

I watch anything where people plough thousands of pounds into a property and then make it look lovely/dreadfull/bland/frightening. The more ups and downs they have the better. It gladdens my heart to see people running about worrying about joists, plans and half bathrooms. I watched series I and II of Lost. I saw the billboard for series III today it looks as if something totally unlikely will suddenly become apparent. It happens a lot in Lost so people will still watch it i imagine. I watched Heroes I and enjoyed it, despite all my efforts not to. I watched Medium because Patricia Arquette has cute teeth, but the stories are often really well written too. It makes a great show to watch after we finish work for the night. I watched Carnivale I and II. I enjoyed I, but II was not so good. I watched Rome and loved it because i am a Classics nerd and will or watch anything related to ancient Greece and Rome, primarily to nod sagely when they mention obscure references, but also to shout at the TV and throw things when they do things wrong. I watch Doctor Who and like it. I watch Torchwood and like it but wonder why everyone in it is so doggedly promiscuous. Is being a tart somehow paranormal?

Books:

I read lots of novels, the more pages the better. I recently enjoyed World War Z by Max Brooks (it gave me nightmares), and Joe Hill's 20th Century Ghosts which was so good it made me want to write short horror stories, which i haven't had the urge to do prior to reading it.I loved Phillip Pullman's 'His Dark Materials' trilogy, and i loved the Quicksilver series by Neal Stephenson. I love great vast bountiful Science Fiction stories like Colin Greenland's "Take Back Plenty" I rarely desert a book half way though, it has to be really not my thing.

Heroes:

I admire people who do good things without thinking if it will make them look good. I admire people who have focus and can get things done. I admire people who are successful but never talk about it.
