About Me

I'm in my mid-thirties and starting to forget my age, which I think is a bad sign.I work in a library (that should be 2 or 3 libraries), with some very nice ladies.I live in a small village called Bishop Middleham in County Durham, (that's in NE England, not Ireland).I drive a slightly battered (but slightly lovely) Peugeot 206 Roland Garros, which is my lifeline to the outside world.I'm slightly reclusive and have to force myself (or be forced) to go out and do stuff. Not helped by the fact I write and edit my comics - Solar Wind my retro kids comic for people in their thirties (which has won awards and nom inations) and Omnivistascope (my future spectacular). I've also written a horror boardgame and wild west cardgame which I occasionally work on. Basically I want to do this stuff because I always wanted to, and before I have to give it up and get my act together.I'll be moving all of this weird stuff to http://www.omnivistascope.com over time.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Anyone into cult or weird stuff, comics and weird and nice people generally. No chumblies (that means nothing, don't worry about it).

Ideas are cheap...

Lots of people seem to be saying how good a series, Heroes is.  I saw the pilot, and I have to say it looked a bit average, but I'm tolds it does hot up later. I'm put off from watching it a litt...

Thinking About Some New Books...

Well, I've lately been thinking about doing something to remedy the slow pace of my comic books.  This is largely because I haven't been inspired (or have been too lazy) to do any real comic stip...

A UK Comic Awards

Diabolik!

Well, I watched the film Diabolik for the first time a couple of weeks back, and as if by some cosmic coincidence (when it comes to comics I think there may be more sinister forces at work, it co...

The Desire to Write Something Substantial

Well, if nobody is looking I'll get some thoughts on writing out of my system. I'm currently putting together two books, for which I'll be writing the majority, and then publishing.  It's a slow,...

Writing again at last

Well, I've had a bit of a break with my holiday and all, but now I'm writing again and quite enjoying it!  It's material for Omnivistascope 3, and always exciting when you feel it's working. ...
