About Me

Hi there. My name is Cindy.I'm originally from Boston. That's where I started my career as an actress at the age of 14. I did really well booking jobs all around New England before I was taft-hartlied into SAG for a gig that filmed on my 21st birthday. Talk about a great present! After that, I packed my bags and moved to LA. When I got there, I started a clown company. (Yes, a clown company!) It actually did wicked good (he he). Had about 30 clowns working for me before I sold the biz in 2001. All the while I continued to act, booking roles in TV, Film and Theater.
I turned into a feature director in a very unusual way. The short version of the story is that with the money from the sale of my business I produced & directed PURGATORY HOUSE, which was written by a 14-year-old girl I mentored in the Big Sisters program. It was an amazing script capturing how it feels to be a teen in today's world. I hope it will change people's lives for the better. Look for PH at video stores in January. In the meantime, feel free to check out the trailer here.
I also directed and starred in the short film MORBID CURIOSITY , which is currently playing at film festivals. You can check out the trailer below. Or click on the poster (on the left side of the page below the Purgatory House poster) to see the website.
My next feature is titled ODD BRODSKY. The WEBSITE will be up and running soon. My husband cinematographer Matthew Irving and I came up with the idea for the screenplay last year while at the Plymouth Independent Film Festival, and knocked off the first draft of the script about a month later. Stay tuned for more details soon...
In the meantime, here are some photos from the best day of my life!

KBIG Radio Debut Check out my KBIG radio debut! I heard about this great radio contest where you could win an all-expense-paid trip to New York, see Billy Joel's "Moving Out" on Broadway, and then review it LIVE on the radio. To enter, you had to write a review of a show, record yourself reading it, and submit the CD to KBIG by the deadline. They had over 1000 entries, and guess who won? ME! It was so much fun! If you click on the little KBIG sign above, you can hear the clip on the radio with D.J. Charlie Tuna.
