About Me

Customyzed using
i am an independent filmmaker who currently resides in greensboro, NC but has made roots in brooklyn, ny. My interest in film began when i was a kid mainly as a form of escape and i grew up on movies and TV of the 80's. my serious interest in filmmaking began to blossom when I got to college, where I discovered directors like krystof kieslowski and stanley kubrick and leni wertmueller. i went to a small "experimental" college called new college in sarasota, florida, where my interest in political and social change blossomed as well. I got my BA in American and British Literature at the University of South Florida and then headed up to NYC to take a bite out of the Big Apple. I did more schooling, and got my masters in cinema studies at NYU. While there, i got to indulge my filmmaking interest in a 16mm production class and made several short films, inlcuding "Safe," an experimental documentary about the rape of over 50 women in Central Park during the 2000 Puerto Rican Day Parade. Safe debuted on ifilm in 2001. as a result, the film and yours truly were featured in the April 2001 issue of Silicon Salley, an online magazine focusing on important women (ahem) in media and technology. after graduating from NYU, I spent some time interning for the Oscar-nominated documentary filmmaker, Edet Belzberg. Around this time, I also began writing a screenplay about synchronicity and homelessness in NYC which was the genesis for my film "Collision" (click to link to my website). "Collision" recently received Best Short Drama at the All-American Film Festival 2007 , Best Written at the 2007 Magnolia Independent Film Festival , and the Audience Award at the 2007 Gasparilla Film Festival .

You Are a Peacemaker Soul
You strive to please others and compromise anyway you can.
War or conflict bothers you, and you would do anything to keep the peace.
You are a good mediator and a true negotiator.
Sometimes you do too much, trying so hard to make people happy.

While you keep the peace, you tend to be secretly judgmental.
You lose respect for people who don't like to both give and take.
On the flip side, you've got a graet sense of humor and wit.
You're always dimplomatic and able to give good advice.

Souls you are most compatible with: Warrior Soul, Hunter Soul and Visionary Soul What Kind of Soul Are You?
