About Me

Oh, what's to know? I'm just another human being riding this rocky space ship through the universe. I'm rsmellette on yahoo and AIM.And FYI -- I have a lot of friends on here 'cause I work for Dances With Films and I edit reels for Actors, Models, Families, Weddings, new babies, etc. So please, don't be a hater just 'cause you see a big list of friends. :)Okay... okay... a little more about me. I'm single and in the entertainment industry. Imagine that! I'm here for both professional and social networking.Professionally: Like anyone in this business, I've had successes and set-backs. I wrote and directed the festival award-winning feature film "Jacks Or Better." Prior to that I was a writer's assistant and sometime writer on "Xena: Warrior Princess" and "M.A.N.T.I.S." Bonus points for anyone who saw the latter. I've also worked in various capacities on "Deadwood," "Looney Tunes: Back In Action," "Nutty Professor II," and many more. I'm originally an actor (see Universities below), with stage experience from VA Shakespeare Festival, Nebraska Theatre Carvan and various Equity Waiver theatres around town.Socially: I'm often told by women that, "You're not like most men," and "you make a good girlfriend." I'm told those are both high compliments. (I hope so!).I'm tall (6'2") and in pretty good shape. Currently 225 lbs. I'm a good dancer, and fit in well to almost any social situation. I'll look good on your arm, if you'll look good on mine! I can be dense sometimes when it comes to noticing if a woman's attracted to me, so you best womp me up side the head if you are interested. I pride myself on listening, problem solving, and keeping an even keel. I have sewn plenty of wild oats, and I enjoyed it -- but I've learned that the best experiences are the ones shared with someone special in your life. And here's a plug for my friend Phil!

My Interests

I'm one of those people that'll find just about anything interesting for a while. Put a shiny object in front of me, and I'll be entertained for hours. I'm into scuba diving, filmmaking of course, movies, mountain biking (okay, I haven't gotten my bike out of the closet in a while), and all of that other stuff people put in personal ads.

I'd like to meet:

Professionally -- anyone that can give me a break, though I'll certainly help anyone I can who's nice and politeSocially -- (And let's face it, that means dating) -- I like women that are physically fit. Dancers, runners, jockettes of any type. Geek girls rock, too. As a kid, I always thought that the tomboy or the librarian girl on whatever TV show or movie looked much better BEFORE the cheerleader girls made her over! I also have a big paternal instinct, so if you're looking for a wise old boyfriend, I could be your guy. I could also be your guy if you're a wise woman who's looking for an equal partner. I suppose that's what I'm really looking for -- an equal partner.

My Blog

Robert Or Bob or Bah

When parents name their child Robert, they are subjecting him to a life of having to defend his name from every pushy salesman, smart assed teacher, and poor innocent who might want to change his name...
