About Me

As a documentary filmmaker, I turned the camera on myself to expose my own fears about mortality when confronted with the same open-heart surgery that had derailed my father's life. In the same year my wife Valerie and my mother Anne both struggled with their own life threatening illnesses.A quest for truth, "Dying to Live- the journey into a man's open heart" is an authentic look at this period of personal transformation that reveals the raw realities of a man’s fight to survive and heal the women who love him. It’s these affairs of the heart that contain the soul of the film. With a rare humor and spirit, an ordinary man struggles deeper into adulthood.
