Evva is a Polish cellist living in London. She performs solo as well as in a duo with the pianists Emma Abbate (www.emmaabbate.com) and Katarzyna Glensk (www.katarzynaglensk.com). Visit her website www.evvamizerska-cellist.co.uk for more information.
Last year, as a Junior Fellow at Trinity College of Music, Evva has prepared and performed a series of concerts, where she presented some of the most interesting works of the Polish modern cello repertoire. The concerts were supported by the Polish Cultural Institute in London and the Joan Greenfield Trust. Especially for this project Evva comissioned new works from four young Polish composers (Aleksandra Gryka, Weronika Ratusinska, Pawel Przezwanski and Piotr Tabakiernik) which were performed in the last concert of the series at Blackheath Halls in October 2007.
Evva, together with Emma Abbate and Katarzyna Glensk, have just recorded the complete works for cello and piano by Krzysztof Meyer. The CD is awaiting release later this year.
Evva's musical interests go beyond the classical music. She has regular jazz gigs with the pianists Paul Kobietowski and Joe Thompson (www.joethompson.net) at Savoy and Claridge's hotels in London. She is also a member of the cyber-band Virtual Strangers (www.virtualstrangers.net) and has been a session musician in many recordings of various genres. Visit her myspace website: www.myspace.com/cellistsessions for samples.
