About Me

[eng] Blätter für die Kunst ("Pages for the Art"), poetic revue founded in 1892 by the controversial German poet Stefan George as a reaction against naturalism, and published in Berlin by Hugo von Hofmannsthal who led an anti-nationalist circle. The principles of this revue claim the independence of Art, far from any political or social consideration and has an important influence against the growing materialism in modern society. Poetry cannot try to make this world better and dream about universal happiness. The “essence” of this new symbolist poetry is to “take the word out of its common and usual circle and to put it into a luminous sphere.” The revue stopped in 1919.January 2008. Matthieu B. Michon creates the Blätter für die Kunst project with the idea to create a music which, far away from the classic songwriting, focuses on sounds, textures, and develops another idea of what a melody is, how to play with the atmospheres, the evocation, the suggestion. In this same spirit, Blätter für die Kunst has the vocation to create interactions between musicians as well as between arts (literature, poetry, dance, theatre, photography, plastic arts...)[fr] Blätter für die Kunst ("Feuillets pour l'Art"), revue poétique fondée en réaction au naturalisme en 1892 par le poète controversé allemand Stefan George et éditée à Berlin par Hugo von Hofmannsthal autour duquel gravite un groupe anti-nationaliste.
