About Me
Jean Bordé plays improvised music on doublebass. He’s working on extending the range of sounds through very personal technics so as to get as far as possible from the usual understanding of the bass. He discovered the beauty of improvisation at 15, while he was playing piano, during Dartington Summerschool with Keith Tippett.....................................................

He is currently a member of the amazingly wierdo DIKTAT quartet with HarS, Rébus and Rinus van Alebeek (check on myspace.com/diktatquartet ) , a trio with Dan Warburton (violin) and Pascal Marzan (guitar), another one with Steve Beresford (electronic toys) and Simon H. Fell (doublebass) , and one with Bertrand Gauguet (saxophones) and Didier Lasserre (percussions)........AND WE’RE STILL LOOKING FOR GIGS!!!! ............................................................

Before that, Jean Bordé played and studied Classical and Contemporary at Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris, Jazz (with Jacques Vidal) and Tango (with Juan José Mosalini). He sometimes, but not enough, composes with pleasure for films or radio.
