Go to www.clanmusic.it .A clan is a group of people, as a clique, set, society, united by some common trait, characteristic, or interest.Our CLAN is a group of thoughts, got through sounds, united from the desire to find one link.Our work is know more and more not what we think a sound is but what it actually is in all of its acoustical details and then letting this sound exist, itself, changing in a changing sonorous environment.We have no dogma, no fixed aesthetics, no static systems, no fixed value, our ideology is don’t have one, we’re living experiences without any formalism. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------- We started playing together at the beginning of 2005. At that time we were influenced by rock music but improvisation has always been our key to work together. The "project tape" was born because when we started playing we had a really poor equipment (karaoke cheap mic for the drum, little 4 track mixer, a tired PC, and a tape recorder). We used to jam for hours and then we selected the best material to put out, mainly on slsk.Now we have increased our equipment and enlarged our influences: the drummer switched ..ed percussions, cymbals and home made instruments, Alberto is more focused on Electronic composition and improvisation. Clivati’s influences goes from radical, non-idiomatic improvisation to the NY Avantgarde School as well as Ethnic percussion music and jazz; Alberto is a lover of musique concrete as well as all the others modern composers. Now CLAN is a duo for percussions, invented instruments and live electronics. ------------------------------------------------------------ ----i Clan nascono dalle ceneri delle vostre coscienze, dai luoghi reconditi delle vostre menti. Dove la luce solare non traspare, il fumo permane e le idee musicali si ofuscano per lasciare spazio alla pura iterazione sonora.Siamo nati nel solco di una tradizione ben precisa: quella della nebbia di prima mattina nei campi dove non si può scorgere manco a 1 m di distanza, o fra i boschi sorridenti e le cascine tubolari arroccate dall’edera, eterno simbolo rampante.Nella smania di costruire anche dove tutto è bruciato, dove c’è palude ratti detriti ci saranno barricate. noi costruiamo barricate si, contro il sudore che cade a picco sotto il sole cocente. non importa cosa costruire, il significato non importa, ma costruite diavolo imbastito, costruite!CLAN §(cliv)§ We could be very close to nature if we learned how to just purely interact...J.
