My Interests

Music:

Band Members:me, myself and I playing (manipulated) guitar.

project "guitar explorations"
this ongoing project exploits the guitar as a sound source, trying to focus on the possibilities of treating the guitar besides and beyond conventional styles of playing. each track focuses and concentrates on a certain technique of treating the guitar. each approach is very different to the other. no use of overdubs. each piece presents the one and only take and stretches out on a certain idea. the equipment used is very simple: guitars: ibanez am67 and ibanez am200; additionally: fan, metal, wood, radio, devices; amp: peterson p100g ev; mic directly to soundcard.
forget about “music” when you listen to this stuff. i had no interest at all in making “music”.

project "rearranged/derranged heroes"
this ongoing project takes some pieces by ornette coleman, albert ayler and anthony braxton rearranged for electric guitar. i try to include some solutions from the "guitar explorations"-project.

besides that, i regulary collaborate with other musicians for (free) improvisation using all of the vocabulary i established for myself so far.
Influences:all kinds of jazz and improvised music basically. very interested in players striving beyond existing musical forms and expressions. dig what mr. keith rowe has done with the electric guitar. ... but there are millions of influences, even my brother´s cat.
Sounds Like:it sounds
