Angelo Olivieri - Trumpeter, composer, musician... researcher.
Eclectic musician mainly involved in the improvised music scene, he is seizing more and more the critics' attention.In 2004 he recorded the CD Oidé with the Oidé ensemble with Susanna Stivali, Carlo Cossu, Luciano Orologi, Piero Bronzi, Alessandro De Angelis, Roberto Bellatalla, Marco Ariano. The CD was produced by the label Terre Sommerse – JèI in 2005. With the same label he published Nadir with the pianist Alessandro De Angelis (2006) and Echoes with Pasquale Innarella, Armando Battiston, William Parker e Hamid Drake (2007). Since 1999 to 2003 he participated to the Tanaquil project of the guitarist Claudio Riggio (CD MAP/Lush Tales) and in the 2002 he took part to the recording of the CD Provvisorio (Splasc(h)records) with the Alea Ensemble of Paolo Damiani.
He recently realized the document of extemporary music INEDITI together with the drummer Marco Ariano. In this project 45 musicians have been involved. The CD has been produced by the label NED.
He participated to many important Art Festivals such as Terra di Maremma - Prima Gita: improvisations inspired to artworks of contemporary painting and sculpture; Roccella Jonica 2003, Friuli Venezia Giulia Jazz 2005, Orsara Jazz 2005, CeglieJazz Open Festival 2006, Valdarno Jazz 2006, Ciampino Jazz 2007.He participated as guest to many radio programs such as Salt Peanuts (Radio Città Futura), So What and On the Corner (Radio Città Aperta), Radio 3 Suite, Radio 2 LIVE.
