Randi's upcoming debut album is currently in production.
"Music is at the core of our understanding of what it means to be human" Daniel Barenboim
Singer, songwriter and pianist Randi Graf grew up in a musical environment. The youngest of 4, she was exposed to a wide range of musical genres through her older siblings; from Weather Report , Keith Jarrett, Uriah Heep & Fleetwood Mac to Mahalia Jackson, to name but a few, - as well as through her parents who were both classically trained as singers, besides playing various instruments.
Another important influence was her maternal grandfather; a first violinist with the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra in the 30s & 40s who became a pioneer and institution within folk music.
Randi sang from an early age, and followed the family tradition of classical piano training from about 7. At 15 she won a scholarship , left home and went to France for 3 years on a Governmental Cultural Exchange program, spending very important and formative years there; deepening and broadening her horizon on a cultural, educational and personal level and gaining a second home country.
She discovered Brazilian music during this same period and fell in love with the richness and beauty of the voices, textures, melodies and harmonies; which continue to be a rich source of inspiration enhanced by strong ties to the country.

Randi started writing and composing in her early teens , and has played in a variety of groups and constellations before concentrating on her work as a solo artist . Her first public performance was at 11, playing mini Moog with her older brother's jazz group.
