My name is Nora. I'm a three-year-old feline who took a fancy to my mom's Yamaha Grand piano - she's a piano teacher from Philadelphia - when I was just one-year-old. And boy were they surprised! I've been playing ever since. Perhaps, you've seen the videos my mom and dad posted on YouTube, iFilm and MetaCafe. If not, you can also see them by scrolling down this page. Hope you enjoy them.
BTW, I am really three-years-old, despite what it says next to my photo. MySpace says I gotta put at least 14, so I used dog and cat years and entered 21. Guess this site was designed for humans, not cats like me. :-) And just in case you were wondering, I'm a domestic short hair with a Classic Tabby pattern. Sometimes, the pattern is called a "bullseye" pattern because of the circles on my sides. I have two adopted sisters: Clara and Gabby, and three adopted brothers: Max, Miro, and Rennie. Max and Rennie have the same Classic Tabby pattern that I have.
Seems that what I'm doing on the piano is kind of rare for a cat, so lots of people have become interested in talking to my mom and dad about it. You can read about all that on page special page my dad made for me on his website by clicking HERE .
My mom has a lot of really nice students and they are really nice to me. They wanted stuff like magnets and tote bags with my picture on them to carry their music books in, so now I have a little store with all that stuff. I think mostly students and maybe teachers and people who love cats and music like to go there and order stuff. As long as I have my favorite chair to sleep in, I'm very happy. But if you want to look at my store, just click HERE .
Love,
Nora
Cat On The Keys - New CD release from Laurel Canyon Animal Company!
Guess what? This place called Laurel Canyon Animal Company just made a song called "Nora's Song," and they put my piano playing from the videos together with a jazz band. It's pretty cool. And they made me the featured performer on the CD called "Cat On The Keys." You can oder your very own copy by clicking that cute photo of me below.
