Influences: 'Xenophanes' is the name of a Greek philosopher. He is one of the Pre-Socratics which belong to the school of Tales of Millet. He was the first philosopher ever, who stressed the importance of the perception that our knowledge is always uncertain (fallible), and therefore it is conjecture (hypothesis), never 'certain knowledge'. We are convinced that this philosophy may help us against fundamentalism in every form. The most modern successor of that statement is the critical rationalism of Sir Karl. R. Popper (an Austrian philosopher).Der Kritische Rationalismus und seine antirealistischen Gegner (The Critical Rationalism and its Anti-Realistic Opponents), a book on modern philosophy, by Norbert Hinterberger, needs a translation: ISBN: 90-420-0083-X. Editions Rodopi B. V., Amsterdam -- Atlanta, GA 1996. Now it is New York instead of Atlanta.Influences - Philosophy: Socrates, Immanuel Kant, Albert Einstein, Karl R. Popper, Richard P. Feynman, Mario Bunge, Brian Greene, Roger Penrose, Murray Gell-Mann, Heinz Dieter Zeh, Erwin Schrödinger, Hermann Weyl, Max Born, Christian de Duve, Alfred Tarski, Kurt Gödel, John D. Barrow, Douglas R. Hofstadter, John Haugeland, Werner Heisenberg, Wolfgang Pauli, and many more great thinkers ...Influences - Music: Bach, African rhythm and it's sucsessors in blues, jazz and (not so often) in the rock music. But we think that modern poetry has sometimes to try a bold fusion with archaic rhythms and rocky riff-structures, to capture that feeling of a modern human, that you can't express in other music forms. We hold for that this is classic, too. We think, that the following musicians had tryed their very best in this direction. They were bold, at least: Jim Morrison, Velvet Undergound, Ian Curtis and Joy Division, Patti Smith, Nick Cave, Patto and others.Xenophanes Productions formation Date: May 26, 2006.
