Saxophones Flute, Bassclarinet

About Me

It all started with her mother giving birth to her on a cold december day in germany, 1974.. 15 Jears later she went to a girls-rock-workshop where she wanted to play the drums which were already taken, so she picked the saxophone. In several following jazz-workshops in her hometown Ibbenbüren she found out how to play it and decided to go to study the whole thing properly in the "Folkwag Hochschule Essen". She did what all these jung jazzplayers do, join the "Landesjugend-Jazzorchester NRW" and form and play in bands. The most importend and still alive ones are "Disguise" with composer, violinist, singer and friend Katrin Mickiecz and later projects (Diswojdasorkiestra) with the polish group "Swoja Droga" which "Disguise" met on the "International Förde Folkfestival" in Norway ("Disguise" was officially send by the WDR). With a diploma from Essen and some own compositions she applied for a scholarship at the "DAAD", got it, and stayed two fantastic years in Amsterdam, getting some extralessons in the "Conservatorium van Amsterdam" and meeting loads of marvelous musicians.
