Composer Singer Viola PlayerKatrin Mickiewicz was born 12.01.1977 in Cieszyn/Poland. She studied Jazz-Composition at Folkwang Hochschule Essen and Jazz vocals and viola at Conservatorium van Amsterdam. She connects Polish-Bulgarian Folkmusic, contemporary square sound and songwriting with improviasation. The variety of sounds and moods are worked out by sensitive Arrangements of her composition and through exploring vocal and instrumental possibilities of her musicians.
