About Me

I've been involved with music pretty much since the day I was born. Within the industry, I've been a: performer (in clubs and concert halls, singing and playing violin, guitar, synth/sampler/keys); producer/engineer; -solo recording artist; freelance music writer (in print in BeatRoute, The Wire, The Village Voice, Exclaim!, Chart, and Vox among others); and a DJ. This MySpace page is devoted to my exploits as a creator of music and visual art. If you want to read my musings on the media/tech industry, browse over to my white MySpace page.

Sounds Like: I usually say the 'People' album that has gotten the wides release of my stuff 'sounds like Xiu Xiu jamming with Coil and John Zorn on Top of the Pops.' The material I'm writing now is still psychedelic and industrial, but reflects my renewed interest in electro and early post-punk. I've also always had a deep love and respect for blues idioms, which is finally starting to be audible in my work. Despite all these influences, I've never found anybody who really sounds remotely like me -- and I've heard a lot of music.
