This music is a natural evolution from the "narcoleptic drone pop" I've been making for the past decade in the indie rock band
The Verna Cannon and from my childhood background as a classically trained (but now extremely rusty) violinist. Influences abound, with some more obvious than others.
The pieces on this site should be considered works in progress rather than finished products, because they are presented here on sampled instruments, not as performed by live musicians.
On the whole, the music reflects a love of the minimalist aesthetic in both contemporary classical music and rock, as well as an appreciation for the classical tradition of the 18th and 19th century and the many varieties of postmodern composition that have flourished in the past several decades.
