Scratch n Spin Records is located at 513 12th Street in West Columbia, SC, across from Zesto's in the heart of Triangle City. Locally owned and operated by Eric Woodard. Scratch n Spin has been in business since October of 2003! Eric has been involved in music retail in Columbia for over 15 years. He started working at Record Town at Columbia Mall when he started college as a USC freshman. This led to a full time gig at Manifest Discs and Tapes, under the managment of Jim Small and ownership of Carl Singmaster. Eric was hired to organize and overhaul the used CD section at the store. Over the following years, he expanded Manifest's used section to a full department. buying, selling, and trading music, movies, and bringing back the used vinyl selection from extinction. When Eric was hired records were being phased out of the store. After working at manifest for over a decade, Eric decided to venture out on his own and open Scratch n Spin Records.
Scratch n Spin started as a DJ specialty shop catering to local and regional DJs. Helping break new records and supporting the habit of hardcore Vinyl junkies and serious collectors. The store grew from a small 980 square foot hole in the wall to a 4,000 square foot music haven in 5 years. Scratch n Spin has expanded its selection and offers CDs, Tapes, LPs, 12" DJ Singles, 45s, Video Games, DVDs, VHS, and Laserdisc. Scratch n Spin has the best selection of 12" singles and CD singles in South Carolina. The store is constantly getting in new arrivals and carries a great selection of all kinds of music! We carry Rock, Metal, Punk, Jazz, Blues, Rap, Soul, and Country; practically every genre of popular music! If we don't have it in stock, Scratch n Spin can special order any item still in print at no extra charge! We want to be your friendly neighborhood music shop! Eric plans to expand the store's selection of T-Shirts, Posters, Stickers, and lifestyle merchandise dramatically in 2009! Look for hard to find T-Shirts, Posters, Patches, and other cool stuff later in the springtime as new shipments arrive.
Scratch n Spin buys, sells, and trades all kinds of used CDs, DVDs, Games, VHS, Vinyl, and more. We pay top dollar in cash or store trade for your stuff in good condition! You must have all the original cases and artwork, and the items must be clean and free of scratches, or damage.
