Music H.Q.

About Me

Music H.Q. (Hull) Ltd. is a social enterprise company based in Hull, East Yorkshire, UK.
Our main aims are to help local musicians, performers, promoters and anyone else who wants a career in the 'music industry' make the best of what they have and hopefully succeed in their chosen career.
Music H.Q. is organised by Darren Bunting ( Myspace page ) who has lots of experience in the music business and wants to pass this on to others (to avoid some of the mistakes I have made :)
Music H.Q. have applied to the National Arts Council for funding and have already received some set up funding from Hull City Council's Acorn Fund and our first 'scheme' is organising an acoustic original music gig every Wednesday at the Tigers Lair Club in Hull.
The Tigers Lair is another social enterprise set up by fans of Hull City Football club to provide an independent venue from the football club for the fans. The venue is extremely smart and pleasant and the staff very helpful and this promises to be the first of many succesful partnerships for Music H.Q.
The live event is called 'Acoustic Wednesday' and was orginally run at The Adelphi Club in Hull by director Darren Bunting but has come under the Music H.Q. wing to further expand the night. Thanks are definately due to Paul and Jim at The Adelphi for their help whilst the night was run there and Music H.Q. will be promoting events there in the near future as in some respects it is 'The original music venue' in Hull and has been for many years.
Please sign up as friends of Music H.Q. on myspace to find out what we are up to as shortly our training, networking and further promoting will be taking off in a big way and this will be a great place to hear about what's happening.
By now you must be thinking what sort of musical genre is Music H.Q. aimed at? Well it isn't, any style of music from any cultural and economical background is what we want to hear and be involved with, non descrimination is a big thing for us and hopefully this will show itself in our wide range of customers/friends/partners/people who use our services or comes to our gigs.
Darren hopes to see you at one of our events/gigs/training courses soon :)
To contact us either use myspace or you can email us direct at [email protected] or by post to Music HQ, C/O Tigers Lair, 64 Anlaby Road, Hull, East Yorkshire, HU3 2AJ
