About Me

The Music scene welcomes the Redwood Thinkers with a great sigh of relief from the hectic sound that has been sweeping this land of late.

All of the thinkers hail from eclectic backgrounds which adds to their gutsy style

The bands music moves from upbeat to melancholic with down right mellow in between, described as somewhere between Beautiful South and Bob Dylan. Their music gently cuts across eras and styles, tied together by powerful songwriting and the sheer potential beauty of the English language.

Live, they are a band not to be missed.

The Thinkers have an incredible charisma and presence on stage, inviting audiences in with a bright smile and a breezy hello. Their writing produces potent songs with a sense of purpose, candid and creative, their poetic vocal style cuts through the gentle buzz of the crowd with a charm that captures the throng.

Redwood Thinkers are:

Darran Cummings - Guitar/vocals

Andrew Wright - Guitar/vocals/harmonica

Will Aird - Drums/Djambe

Ruth Wilde - Electric/double Bass

Kezia Wilkinson - Vocals/percussion

Sounds Like: The debut album is described as somewhere between Bob Dylan and Turin Breaks as the music moves from upbeat to melancholic with down right mellow in between and "a very satisfying listen, with bright melodies and often dark subject matter seamlessly blended into a first album to be proud of." Chris Wright - The Chris Wright radio show. Redwood Thinkers gently cut across eras and styles tied together by powerful song writing with infectious hooks and the sheer potential beauty of the English language.
