The DiYs are a three piece band from Hull
The Band Consists of, Callum Blakeston (Guitar & Lead Vocals), Joe Wilson (Bass & Backing Vocals) and Rich Smith (Drums).
The DiYs started as a joke between Callum and Wilson, and was known as "Parks Of Hamilton" neither of them could play for shit, but one night they got drunk and decided to make a myspace for themselves. Shortly afterwards Callum got an email from "Parks Of Hamilton" who turned out to be a coach company, they gave them three days to get rid of the myspace, they just changed the name instead.
Then one sunny afternoon while taking a shit, Callum had an epiphany, he needed to be in a band, so him and Wilson got there heads together and formed The DiYs, along with two other members, they started rehearsing in January of 2008, then the two members left due to musical differences.
Things were looking bleak, then, from nowhere Mr Smith appeared in a mist of smoke and The DiYs started rehearsing again in late March, and played there first gig on 3rd May at Beverley Memorial Hall, when the soundman heard them soundcheck, he decided that they were definite headliners.
Since this, The DiYs have played more gigs and have more booked and plan to keep playing more and more until they have a name for themselves keep checking back for more info on the band, until they split up hahaUP THE BOYCOTS!!xxxx
