About Me

I am a retired Army intelligence officer, a seven year veteran of the government's remote viewing 'psychic espionage' program. I wrote the book "Reading the Enemy's Mind: Inside Star Gate -- America's Psychic Espionage Program" (Tor/Forge 2005) to chronicle that amazing experience. (My book was chosen as the Book Bonus Feature and Editor's Choice for the March 2006 issue of Reader's Digest).
In the Army I also served as a tactical intelligence officer in the 101st Airborne Division during Desert Storm (Hooah!), and among my other assignments served as an Arabic linguist, intelligence officer in a Special Forces unit, a Mid-East desk officer in an Army HUMINT unit, a strategic intelligence officer at the Defense Intelligence Agency, and retired as chief of intelligence security for the Military District of Washington. I am a graduate of the National Defense Intelligence University's Post-graduate Intelligence Program, with a Masters of Science of Strategic Intelligence, Middle-East emphasis (my thesis was about the viability of a Palestinian state; you can access it here: Assessing the Viability of a Palestinian State )
I started a commercial remote viewing training company, Remote Viewing Instructional Services Inc., in January 1997, and helped found the non-profit International Remote Viewing Association, along with remote viewing pioneers such as Hal Puthoff, Russell Targ, F. Holmes Atwater, Lyn Buchanan, and other researchers and remote viewing veterans. I was elected last May to be IRVA's President. I also organized and chaired the 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004, and 2006 remote viewing conferences.
I have been privileged to be interviewed on CBS Sunday Morning, the History Channel, A&E Network, and at various times by both Art Bell and George Noory on Coast-to-Coast AM, by Jeff Rense on "Sightings," and numerous other national, regional, and local media outlets.
I have a bachelors degree in Middle Eastern Studies (with minors in English and Art) from BYU, a masters in Strategic Intelligence (Mid-East emphasis) from the Defense Intelligence College, and am a doctoral candidate in philosophy at the University of Texas at Austin.
