Is there an end to blindness in sight?

About Me

MySpace layouts
I travel to the beat of a band composed of different drums. I love to travel to different countries, the more different than the U.S. the better. I am fascinated and in awe of the diversity of cultures different than my own. In my next lifetime, I wish to be a leaf on a tree. Any type of tree will do. I also wouldn't mind being a rock. Just set me free.
I descend from a long line of eccentric Southerners and Indians from Virginia, West Virginia, and Alabama. Those who weren't outright mad were snake charmers and miracle workers. Courtesy of my grandma, I remember when Prince Albert came out of a can. And courtesy of my Great Uncle Buck, I remember when he was spit right back in.
When out in public, I have a tendency to attract lost dogs.
I make soap bubbles.
I skip rocks across still waters.
And I've experienced being stillborn.
One of my goals is to feel colors with my fingertips. Another is to watch all happen at once. And the last is to laugh out loud when I smash my little toe on the bed frame during the night.
I live in an old house that's almost 100 years old. I love aged, windblown architecture. Occasionally, I live in another house overlooking the ocean in Oregon. Eventually I will retire permanently there and make candles and clay sculptures and collect rocks. In the meantime, I bide time and treasure all the watches I no longer need wear.
In the late 90's, I graduated from a psychic institute as a trained clairvoyant. I gave readings and healings until my kundalini awakened suddenly and sharply. I saw too much and, alas, too much saw me. Now I visit other realms from a distant shore of safety, usually through the pages of a book.
I see things, I don't often know what they mean. I do know some of what I see offends people, so I just strive and hope to forgive all and to be forgiven. Sometimes I report it here, as this is my space to be weird. Sometimes not, as it's too weird to be given.
I once saw a man eat ten large balls of wasabi in one minute.
I once coaxed a fly to land in all the places I wanted it to.
Someone showed me the best dogs in life are free.
I love watching people be human. I love the mystery of those with a billion untold stories. Somewhere they are written, just not here. I look forward to the day I can read them all and meet their author.
My favorite city on the planet earth is Venice. I learned I once killed myself there. I went back there and fed the pigeons in St. Mark's Square. We are now all forgiven.
I'm a frequent traveler. I've eaten what was once a forbidden dinner at China's forbidden city, lots of fish guts artfully arranged in the shapes of fish. I sat in the shadow of the Taj Mahal. There is no greater joy than to be going somewhere altogether different. And in one moment I discovered there is not enough time to be everywhere at once.
Apparently, there is graffiti carved on some of the mirrors of Versailles. This is still a surprise.
I believe in something very big but I haven't quite put my finger on it yet.
When I was a kid I witnessed the rain fall on a sunny day and the contrast was incredible.
I have yet to figure out if we learn more with our eyes closed or opened. It's an ongoing project we all face... to do both at once. This is my bicycle now.
Thank you for dropping by for a visit.
(An aside, I also have something called social phobia so here is the most, most anyone sees of me.)

You scored as C.G. Jung

You are more of a spiritualist than would be immediately apparent. Some of your notions are questioned by the cynical, but deep down you know the human consciousness is more than the flesh and tissue can account for. You tend to take a scientific observationist look on matters the average person wouldn't even begin to analyze. You personally are responsible for most of the ideas that are floating around in modern psychologist's/psychic's paltry little skulls. On the down side, you tend to be associated with that asshole Freud.
