About Me

I have a friendly personality and I enjoy good conversation and happy times with my family, I like to take an interest in the people around me both near and far, I have a large family, a cute dog, and I am also a carer for my husband, I have a good sense of humour and like the simple things in life, I have travelled to many places both here in the UK and abroad, Europe and further afield, I have a strong social consience, and I like to keep young at heart, I like laughing with young people around me when I can. I have strong beliefs, and I enjoy a challenge now and then.
I used to be a tour guide in the Roman city of Bath and have lived and worked in several areas of the UK doing all kinds of work, but now I am supposedly retired my husband keeps me busy and I am not as mobile as I used to be due to caring for him, I spend time on my web site Carers-Healingspur not only for carers but with lots of different topics on it, and there everyone can find out more about me and what interests me, I am genuine, open, and honest about things and like people to be the same, I have always had an inquiring mind and I believe we are never to old to learn, I would describe myself as a free spirited homebody with a colourful past.

My Interests

Family come first and my cute dog, I love animals, and I love both countryside and sea, but I like to be fairly close to city amenities and entertainments, cinema,theatre, shops and restaurants, I like to travel when I get the chance, and like to study the history and culture of different countries, I like writing, art, music, and working on my web site which my daughter is helping me with, I am interested in Holistics, energy healing, NLP, and mind body connection, I like reading when I get the chance, and I write verse but I would not call myself a poet, I used to have a lot of hobbies I don't follow now, gardening, dressmaking, and creative crafts, I also used to play the piano, but I do like to hear about other peoples hobbies and would do more if I could, variety is the spice of life.

I'd like to meet:

I would like to meet friends of all ages male or female who not only have the same interests as me but who are willing to share those that are new to me, although my age range is between 55 and 65 I am genuinely interested in all ages

Music:

I like music of most kinds from pop to classical, blues, and some jazz, sixties music holds a lot of memories for me,a real mixture really.

My favourite films are, The Green Mile, Dr Zchivago, The colour Purple, and good comedy action films, The worst film I have seen is The Blair Witch Project, and the last film I saw was Shrek 3 with my grandson.

Autobiographies, books by Deepak Chopra, and Ekhart Tholl, and for complete escapism The Iliad and the Odyssey!, and Catherine Cookson because I am a geordie

Heroes:

My heroes and heroines are ordinary people who have done extraordinary things most times you don't hear about them.
