"In parenting your own children, be the parent you always wish you had had as a child."

you are good enough!
--pam
forget all the aches
forget all the pains
forget the storms
and eternal torrential rain
forget what they told you
every bit of it lies
the words that were fed
that stole the fire from your eyes
you're perfect and you're whole
just the way you are
you're good enough
you're a shining star
you only shine once
in this body, anyway
you must believe in yourself
no matter what "they" say!
if you don't believe in you
then how can you expect
anyone else to believe
and give you due respect?
you must believe!
you're the only one you've got
but, my friend, I'll believe
even if you do not
reflections in the mirror mirror
--pam
mirror mirror on the door
show that you see more
than this meaningless pile of bones and skin
mirror mirror over there
don't judge but feel free to stare
to find the simple truth and let her in
mirror mirror in the hall
help to break down the walls
that I helped all these mirrors to devise
mirrors mirrors all around
in every face that can be found
reflecting how I see myself through my eyes
everywhere, everything, every one I see
how I label them is how I really see me
a blessing to all
--pam
May you be blessed in all you do
may your blessings return to you
as life's mysteries unfold
may you discover treasure untold
may you unlock the hidden door
to reveal what you have in store
to find what you've been searching for
and be blessed forever more

infinite love
boundless laughter
perpetual health
life everafter
bountiful blessings
continuously creative
all, one and none
living, letting live
abundant grace
endless peace
in being these
I find my release
a verse for all poets

oh beautiful passion
words that deeply touch the soul
open to receive
the love that would make one whole
oh beautiful imagery
the kind that ignites the fire
that warms the heart
to forever burn desire
oh muse forever write on
inspiring like-minded souls
who will love and long together
and will each the other extol
the rose

nothing:
except the read
beauty remains.
Rains' drops of perfect petals fall
delicately: pitter patter palpitations.
Fresh fragrance fills the air blowing
gently. Maternal fingers brush, blooming
babe's blush, growing. Softly spreading
glowing , beaming: smiles delivered
from rubied lips stretching
che ek to cheek rouging sugar crysta led
len ses gazing at gorgeousn ess.
Lon ging days dream to be
per fection, this bli ss,
a kis s from para dise:
the red rose
grows
to
show
that
beauty
and
love
are
not
without......
thorns.
But:
care-
fully
plucked,
injury
can
be
easily
avoided.
will you
--pam
will you stare right through the beauty?
will you only see the dirt?
will you look past all the pleasure?
will you only see the hurt?
will you look me in the pupils?
will you stare into my eyes?
will you see me as your student?
will you see that i am wise?
is it all from your perspective?
is it all for your quick gain?
is it my fault, is it your fault;
is there anyone to blame?
will you say that you know nothing?
will you say you know alot?
will you tell me as your student,
by your student you'll be taught?
will you see me as i am?
will you see me as you are?
will you see that we are burning:
each a bright and guiding star?
Like you, I'm fellow resident/component of the macro-cosmic all, which is perfectly imperfect--or imperfectly perfect; a conscious (sometimes semi-conscious) creator and experiencer of "my" reality--which includes preserving the earth's beauty. Join me?
Like you, I'm fallible; once I recognize them, I admit my mistakes and immediately set about making the necessary improvements (once I see the solution.)
My heart goes out to those in rough circumstances *who are not in the position to change them--or that don't recognize that they are in a position to change their circumstances. This includes animals, which is why I've become a vegetarian. The health benefits of replacing meat & milk with substitutes are too numerous to list! There are some brands which are plain awful and others which are delicious, so if you've happened upon a disgusting brand, try another.
I am very spiritual but am not at all religious--the closest label would probably be Taoism. The macrocosmic all is my temple; this universe with all its wonders, a chapel; the pristine beauty of nature on this planet, a church; this body/mind, a playground...a vehicle to navigate, to observe, to create in this sacred space.
I Love God (I am part, you are part, everything is part), my family and friends; and love/am passionate about music, poetry & art--they're as much a part of my being as my appendages. I live music, breathe art, inhale poetry.
I love wit--all types of rhetoric and plays on words...the sillier and more playful, the better.
