Psychic phenomena and experiences / Parapsychology, psychic entertainment, magic, comic books, TV, film, science fiction, supernatural folklore, old time radio, food, wine, and chocolate ... chocolate ... chocolate!
Always interested in connecting with folks with a healthy interest in psychic phenomena, in comic books, science fiction, movies and TV...
Pretty eclectic: I love Jazz, R&B, and a various Rock groups/artists.Not music, but I listen to loads of old time radio shows (detective and comedy, mainly).
My favorite movie series are THE THIN MAN movies, STAR WARS (the original trilogy), ARMY OF DARKNESS (one of my all time favorites), swashbuckling movies like CAPTAIN BLOOD, THE SEA HAWK, PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN, THE ADVENTURES OF ROBIN HOOD, any Zorro film and SWASHBUCKLER, science fiction films including FORBIDDEN PLANET, STAR TREK II: WRATH OF KHAN, and THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL (the original), and comedies such as YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, THE WRONG GUY, BLAZING SADDLES, STRIPES, GALAXY QUEST and of course GHOSTBUSTERS!
I love good sci-fi TV, good sitcoms and other oddball stuff. These days I watch TORCHWOOD, DOCTOR WHO, SMALLVILLE, HEROES, LOST, PSYCH, MONK, THE BIG BANG THEORY, TWO AND A HALF MEN, 30 ROCK, and STARGATE: ATLANTIS. Of course, there's always THE SIMPSONS (and occasionally SOUTH PARK), and other cartoons (like THE BATMAN and LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES).Most important, though is THE DAILY SHOW (and THE COLBERT REPORT often). Cannot miss their take on the news.
Besides the more professional literature (in and around Parapsychology), I read a lot of fiction, mainly sci fi and mystery. I read many series novels relating to Star Trek, Star Wars, Doctor Who and Stargate, and assorted other sci fi novels. As for mysteries, I like psychic-themed detective novels, as well as novels by authors like Aaron Elkins, Max Allan Collins, Stuart Kaminsky (the Toby Peters novels), Victoria Laurie, Martha Lawrence, and a few others. And of course, comic books (mainly DC and Dynamite) and graphic novels. Love reading old pulp stories (The Shadow and Doc Savage).
