About Me

I was first introduced to ghosts and the supernatural at age ten, when some friends and I took a Ouija board to a known "haunted" house in Newtown, Connecticut. I've been writing about ghosts and the supernatural since 1997 when I first interviewed renowned ghost hunters Ed and Lorraine Warren for a newspaper I was working for at the time. In 1998, I was tapped to research and write the script for a documentary film on Dudleytown -- an abandoned ghost town in the hills of northeastern Connecticut. The documentary project was never sold, so I took the research and wrote the definitive work on the history and hauntings behind this legendary Connecticut town. That article would be the impetus to start Ghostvillage.com .Ghostvillage.com was launched on October 31, 1999 as a repository for my research and writings on the subject of ghosts and the supernatural. Over time, the site grew to include a vast collection of ghost stories and ghost photos from around the world, and it is now one of the largest supernatural communities on the Web.After graduating Hofstra University with a degree in English, I began my writing journey in journalism and I bring an objective approach to the subjects I write about. It's important for us to discuss these topics because they are all part of the human experience, and I appreciate everyone who has shared their brush with the unexplained and the profound with me.

My Interests

I'm a fan of all things paranormal and weird: ghosts, haunts, ESP, UFOs, and things that go bump in the night (or things that bump any time of day, really). I also love exploring religions and questions of faith.

I'd like to meet:

The ghost of Abraham Lincoln walking by the North Portico of the White House.

Music:

I like all music: rap, country, classic rock, blues. I've been a guitar player since I was 14 years old.

Books:

WARNING... SHAMELESS SELF-PROMOTION COMING: The World's Most Haunted Places, Communicating With the Dead, Encyclopedia of Haunted Places, The Nightmare Encyclopedia, Our Haunted Lives, Ghosts of War, The Ghost Files, and Weird Massachusetts.

Heroes:

William Katt - The Greatest American Hero - "Look at what's happened to meee-ee; I can't believe it myself. Suddenly I'm up on top of the world; should have been somebody eeeeelse..."
