Joshua Webb (aka J-Dub) is an international pop/rap artist raised in the east of Auckland, New Zealand. In 2008 he performed at the Parachute Music Festival mixing with artists like Switchfoot, Adeaze, Spacifix, Red & Israel Houghton. He has spent time in the USA in 2006 & 2008 performing, doing radio interviews & TV appearances in Atlanta, Georgia. Although he is yet to release an official single he has had radio play & done interviews for major & domestic stations in New Zealand. He has also performed at community events, schools, churches, shopping centers & major events.
He is currently in the studio working to finish his debut album in late 2008 including radio singles & video clips. With catchy hooks, phat beats & tight rhymes tracks like ‘Turn Up The Pain’ & ‘J-Dub (Is On Ya System)’ which are predicted by many to become smash hits.
“I want to use my God-given talent to impact society in a positive way. I have songs that you can bob ya head to that are purely made for entertainment purposes. I have others that have a message in them that can hopefully encourage & make people think about issues & choices in life. I write from my own experiences & real stories about life that I know lots of people can relate to. I believe I have a fresh approach to pop & hip hop music that is needed. I like to be creative & dive into other genres to hopefully come up with something new that can appeal to a wide audience. I listen to & draw inspiration from all different kinds of music. I want to send out a positive vibe in a world filled of pain & negativity.â€
