Following on after winning the 2008 Pacific Urban Artist Award and their vocal collaboration on Nesian Mystik’s summer hit “Mr Mista”, Cydel are back with ‘I Want You’ – the first single off their upcoming second album ‘Loves Lessons’ - an upbeat, rhythmic track accompanied with a lyrical take on the initial emotions of likely love. Being self-taught musicians who write, produce and record their own compositions, this double act take pleasure in creating sounds for the Soul and R’nB devotees.
As icons in their community, the pair spent their youth at the local music centre honing their craft and performing at every neighbouring event possible. Years later Cydel have continued their passion and drive to entertain and have travelled outside of their dwellings to considerable followers in USA.
Cydel’s consummate musicianship and emotional rendering of their songs is an unforgettable experience. With one of the most ground-breaking vocals in New Zealand, it is only a matter of time before the rest of the world will hear and take notice.
