Rachael Lampa has come of age in the blink of an eye. It seems like yesterday the Christian industry eagerly watched the adorable 15-year old performing on the "Tonight Show with Jay Leno" the day her debut album,
Live For You, hit stores in 2000 (the first such debut for any Christian artist). She has blossomed into a graceful muse whose charm, self-deprecating wit and stunning voice wins every time, and those powerful vocals far exceed her 22 years and tiny frame. Throughout her teens, the Dove Award-winning songstress had many chart-topping hit songs written for her, but most recently she took creative control by writing or co-writing all 11 tracks on her 2004 self-titled release. The Christian message from her first three albums still resonated, but this time Rachael poured herself into each song. Topics were straight from her heart and covered a wide spectrum of issues and subjects. As Rachael continues to spread her wings and develop more fully as an adult artist, Word Records has released a 17-song compilation of some of her favorites from over the years
Blessed: The Best of Rachael Lampa.
She is currently working away in the studio with producers, Drew Ramsey and Shannon Sanders writing and recording her best yet.
"Life slowed down a lot this past year and I finally allowed myself to decide on finding me for ME. Musically, spiritually, emotionally, somehow a consistency was forming and I felt like I was finally getting know myself. This made me fall in love with music in such a new way and I would want for nothing more than for that to be reflected in my music. No bells or whistles, just simplicity and realness. This is an exciting and passionate time in life and I'm grateful to be riding the wave. Thank you so much to my fans for your patience and loyalty, it means more than I can tell you."
