Over the last few years the band has been working hard in order to build a strong fan base in their hometown of Leicester and have received high acclaim for their energetic live performances.
Among their successes have been performing to a capacity crowd on the main stage at Demontfort hallâ€™s Summer Sundae Festival in August 2006 alongside artists including Gomez, Coldcut, DJ Format, Foreign Beggars, Jose Gonzalez, and Jamie T. Other performances include supporting MOBO-award winner Sway, and supporting the Levellers at Stamford Riverside Festival. In December 2007 the band won the Peopleâ€™s choice award after performing at the Indigo O2 arena as part of Project Talent UK.
El Mahico’s debut album is due to be released in Summer 2008......
