Random Donkey is a new found, voluntary, non-profit, local artists promotions organisation for the Leicester area. We are here to act as middle-man for artists looking for a way to display their talents and for people who are looking for artists.
We are two friends, neither of us are from Leicester originally but we have both arrived here by random cross-country routes and were both incredibly impressed with the vast and varied range of talent Leicester has to offer. The problem was there was no free way to promote oneself as an artist, and as artists ourselves we felt there was a gap where a completely free to use promotions organisation could comfortably place itself, thus was Random Donkey born.
We intend to bring all of Leicester's artists to the attention of prospective clients, hence creating a win win situation for both artist and client, Random Donkey will take no money from either party, the pay for the artists will be arranged between artist and client, we will never be part of this discussion, we are merely here to create that first contact so the client can get the perfect artist for their needs.
From musicians to photographers, stilt-walkers to actors, dancers to fire-performers we want to promote every talent in Leicester. We will work in conjunction with a variety of venues to help them gain a wider range of entertainment, musical or otherwise, many bars have already expressed interest in working with us to find talent for their musical nights and we intend to be branching out continuously for a very long time.
Random Donkey as a unit makes no money, we have no wage, we do this purely because we love creative people and creative things. We are both artists of different styles and will both be on our database, being promoted the same way as everyone else, there will be no preferences.
We intend for our promotions to be mainly internet based and a website is currently under construction, what we need now is to generate interest, so anybody interested, anybody with questions or anybody with feedback, do not hesitate to add us or message us.
We will have a 'song of the week' on this page every week with our favourite song of that particular week. The artist will be in our top friends for that week.
