Fusion Is Key, Collaboration Is The Way Forward..

About Me

I am a freelance music workshop leader, guitar teacher and recording engineer, I am also proficient at live sound, though you have to ask me nicely. I also organize and promote local gigs when I can find the time. I offer a variety of services which are listed below. For promotion, feel free to punch me, and if I'm arranging anything in the future, or am able to help you through my network of contacts, then I will try.
On the personal side, I enjoy learning, socialising and keeping myself creatively active. I have a keen interest in politics, as well as all forms of art, including photography, media and poetry. I love meeting new people, musicians especially, and I love creating new music. I have also decided to help out 'Demos Reviewed' a myspace based music review blog or whatever that I offered to help contribute to in my spare time, check my top friends for a link. I am always interested in collaborations with other experienced musicians or vocalists of any style, genre or musical persuasion, whatever. If you'd like to try something a little different, then feel free to message me.
Awesome quote I found:
"Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; Education will not. Nothing is more important than persistence and determination."
(Calvin Coolidge)
Learn:Create:Record
A new project focusing on Creative Development Lessons. These are a half day (6-7 hours) in the studio with me, you will learn the basics of digital recording technology, how to use the keyboard, bass and guitars to create a track in a style of your choice, and then mix and master it. These lessons should begin to build up the skills you need to write, record and produce your own music entirely by yourself.
£60-£80 per session
General Recording
If you are an artist or band looking to record an EP or album, I can be booked to record at highly competitive prices depending on your particular requirements and needs. I have worked with a variety of solo acoustic artists and recorded high quality material from the comfort of my own home. For bands, I can offer up to 8-track live recording at a studio location in Belper, or for those who require more, I can freelance at a variety of studios as mixing engineer.
£70-£120 per day
Guitar Lessons
For those of you purely interested in learning the ways of the guitar, I teach in the Derbyshire. I can travel to your location, but I will have to add the costs of my journey to the price of your lesson. I can teach a wide variety of styles, record and develop your own backing tracks customized to your taste and skill level, giving you something to practice to, as well as teaching you creative writing techniques to get you started on writing your own music.
£12 per hour
Under One Roof
A collection of tracks, mostly collaborations with other artists. Under One Roof is the artist name I am using to release an incredibly broad range of material. This will take the form of a series of EP's spanning a selection of genres before I finally release a compilation album of the best of my collaborations.
For a quote on recording, lessons or to discuss setting up a creative development lesson, and the right development plan for yourself, please don't hestitate to drop me a message and I will provide you with a phone number to call.
