Hello! I'm not gonna do this in the 3rd person!!...my name is Glen & I've been involved in music for almost as long as I can remember. It all started when my older brother, Dean, started to teach me the drums at the age of 10 (when my feet could just about reach the pedals) and after a year or so I was involved in my first live concert at the age of 11! From there I progressed quickly and played in various bands etc.
At 14 I was introduced to hip-hop by listening to some of Dean's Ice Cube & Public Enemy tapes and was immediately hooked (my brother has alot to answer for!) I began to get more into the music as time went on and after I heard my first scratch I became obsessed with DJing - particularly hip-hop DJs & the art of battling.
It wasn't until many, many years later that I finally decided to take the plunge & buy my first set of turntables & mixer around my 22nd Birthday. I have now been mixing/scratching for 5 years & am keen to learn more & work with as many people as possible who are passionate about DJing & music in general. I am part of a very talented live outfit called El Mahico .
I also run BUG OUT a regular Hip-Hop/Funk/Beats night in Leicester @ Esko, Humberstone Gate, Leicester every month with talented DJs, producers, video artists & MCs Tanda , Beatmaster & Chrome.
