About Me

Paul Fairall is a native of Leicester, England. He studied under world-renowned guitar player, Joe Pass. Paul performed with various members of FAMILY, including Ric Grech, Charlie Whitney and Rob Townsend. In 1977, he joined a Rock and Roll Revival band signed to SPLASH RECORDS owned by Chas Chandler. He played bass with the band, Cameo Rôle—a new wave pop band featuring players like ex-Blind Faith artist, Ric Grech. They played numerous support gigs for bands such as Boy George and Tenpole Tudor. In 1987, he re-connected with bass player, Ian Porter (now a recognized writer for television and media music) and worked with the critically acclaimed, new wave band FISHER Z. Whilst on tour with the London-based band SWIMMING IN SAND, he met his future life and songwriting partner—Linda Danz—an American artist in Paris. He emigrated to America in 1989. Mark Christensen, lead singer of THIRST and Paul, co-wrote songs for the band’s debut album, featuring Andy Newmark on drums. Mike Klein—who assisted on the production of the Sony/Columbia release of singer James Maddock, “Songs From Stamford Hill”—engineered and co-produced Paul’s first album. TRYING is an album of original songs, played and sung by Paul Fairall, with additional drums and percussion from Gregg Gerson (originally Billy Idol’s drummer). The album was recorded in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, September 2000. Paul has self-produced a number of musical projects in their home studio; affectionately referred to as THE BACK ROOM. Paul has played clubs like: CBGB’s, The China Club, The Living Room, The Bitter End, The Spiral, Kenny’s Castaways and many more. Paul has worked with artists like, James Maddock, Joy Askew, Chris and Craig Bennelli, Laura Berman, Gregg Gerson, and more. Paul is also producing voiceover demos for actors, such as Emmy Award nominated, Lauren B. Martin. Linda Danz is a Native New Yorker who was born on the lower eastside before it was trendy. When she met Paul in Paris, she was a painter. Eventually, painting gave way to songwriting with Paul and she’s put her brushes down for the moment. “Songwriting is less messy”, she says. She has written a full-length screenplay and is now collaborating with Lauren B. Martin on an original screenplay. Linda is also currently writing a novel.found this plain layout at HOT FreeLayouts.com / MyHotComments

You Know Who You Are

We got e-mail from a friend who had a listen to the songs posted and especially liked "Breathable Glass" but hated the title. "Sounds like an allusion to cocaine." She was reminded of the tale of "Luc...

She got stoned and missed it.

There's been a bit of a gap in our bloggishness but that's all down to the mysterious kidney stones. Linda rushed to the Emergency at Mt. Sinai with intense pain; was told by a young female doctor tha...
